Kalzip SolarClad is a PV retrofit solution, which is suitable for a wide variety of metal roofing (e.g. barrel roofs) due to its low dead weight and narrow geometry.
The Kalzip retrofit solution can be attached to a Kalzip roof without penetration with Kalzip fastening clamps approved by the building authorities. Existing roofscapes are thus transformed into solar power plants.
Notes for glass-framed PV modules:
- Attachment of glass-framed PV modules to the flanges of the Kalzip standing seam profile panels is only permitted with the Kalzip fastening clamps approved by the building authorities.
- The additional load caused by PV rooftop solutions must be statically proven. If necessary, a smaller span of the Kalzip profile panels is to be expected.

- Minimum radius in the area of the profile panel covered with modules: convex/concave: 10 m
- Design is independent of the roof or façade structure (tested by Kalzip Anwendungstechnik)
- Design (electrics and fastening) according to Kalzip module wiring diagram
- Delivery of a pre-assembled cable system for module interconnection
- Low total weight incl. fastening clamps of approx. 6.5 kg/m²
