More Over
GM VSG LAMIMART® is used in safety-relevant places both indoors and outdoors: monolithically as a two- or multi-pane element or in an insulating glass composite. By joining glass and film with the same or different properties, laminated safety glass can be produced with a wide variety of functions such as sound, heat or sun protection. The design possibilities are also diverse through combinations with colored foils, digital or screen printing.
Technical Information
Production:
GM VSG LAMIMART® consists of at least two glass panes that are firmly connected to form a unit with foils. These are viscoelastic, highly tear-resistant films, usually made of polyvinyl butyral (PVB). The glasses are pre-heated with the film in between by infrared emitters and pressed together by means of a roller press. In the autoclave, a permanent bond of glass and film is then created under heat and pressure. Several panes of the same or different types and thicknesses of glass can be joined , so that the advantages of different glasses can be combined in combination.
