AQUADERE Stick is used as a solvent-free bitumen primer in accordance with the Technical Rules for the Planning and Execution of Waterproofing with Polymer Bitumen and Bitumen Membranes (abc der Bitumenbahnen vdd e.V.), Flat Roof Guidelines (ZvdH e.V.) and DIN 18531 et seq. on mineral substrates, metal and bitumen membranes in order to achieve reliable adhesion during hot and cold bonding or welding of bitumen membranes. AQUADERE Stick is also suitable for indoor use.
Processing
Processing from +5°C material, ambient and component temperature. Homogenize by careful stirring before use. The substrate must meet the requirements of the respective regulations, be free of adhesion-reducing or adhesion-preventing substances, dry, dust- and grease-free, and free of loose components. Very dry and highly absorbent substrate is easy to moisten. Very damp and wet surfaces are unsuitable. The processing is carried out by painting, rolling or with the rubber slide. Before applying the waterproofing layer, the primer must form a black film and be completely dry. This must always be checked on site.
The presence of brownish traces is an indication that the product is not yet completely dry. Drying time depending on the substrate, temperature, humidity, sunlight and wind: At 23°C and 30% humidity: at least 30 minutes. At 5°C and 50% humidity: at least 3 hours Ideally, the primer should air off overnight and the bitumen sheets should be laid the next day. As a rule, this ensures that the primer can also dry in recesses.
Quantity requirement: approx. 0.20 l/m² for smooth, non-absorbent substrates such as metal, approx. 0.35 l/m² for concrete. Consumption increases on rough, highly absorbent surfaces.
Storage, transport and shelf life
Storage temperature: + 5°C to +40°C . Close the opened containers well.
Shelf life of unopened containers: 12 months
disposal
The containers must be completely emptied and disposed of properly.
