Hagemeister Facade Clinker Witten GT

Hagemeister GmbH & Co. KG

Description

The Witten GT is a façade clinker brick that is mainly used as facing masonry for double-skinned, rear-ventilated constructions.

More Over

Facing bricks, clinkerbricks and ceramic clinker bricks can be used for facing masonry. They have different water absorption capacities.

Facing bricks

Facing bricks are referred to as U-bricks. They are available as solid and perforated bricks. They must be weather- and frost-resistant. Facing bricks have a greater water absorption capacity. The mass fraction of water absorption is not limited.

Clinker

clinker bricks are first of all superficially sintered U-bricks. Sintering is a process that creates a glassy, dense character due to the extremely high firing temperature during the production of the visible surface. Clinker bricks absorb hardly any water (mass fraction of water absorption: no more than 6 percent) and are therefore very resistant. They must also be weather- and frost-resistant. Clinker bricks are also characterized by their high compressive strength and stand as a synonym for maximum durability.

Ceramic clinker

Ceramic clinker bricks also belong to the U-bricks. They are formed from densely burning clays and fired. They are also frost-resistant and have a mass share of water absorption of no more than 6 percent. In addition, they have to meet special requirements in terms of scratch hardness as well as color and light fastness.
