The bricks are mainly made of alluvial clay soil from the Meuse sales area. The river has washed out the rock formations of the Ardennes, carrying the erosion material with it. The sediments were deposited in the overswimming area of the lower course of the river. Through expert mixing of said clay sediments, the right raw materials for the production of hand-shaped bricks are acquired.
