Technical Information
Insulating concrete with foam glass ballast: grain size 0 - 32 mm
Cement: Portland CEM II 32.5 R or CEM III 32.5
Composition
foam glass gravel
The foam glass gravel is produced in a thermal process from recycled glass and purely mineral aggregates and is a one hundred percent environmentally friendly and recyclable material with excellent insulating properties. The foam glass gravel is extremely light (10 times lighter than gravel), pressure-resistant, it insulates not only heat but also sound, does not absorb water and is therefore extremely stable in weight and complies with the UNI EN 13055 standard for lightweight aggregate. It also has excellent seepage performance, is fire-resistant and resistant to all environmental influences. Depending on the requirements for the insulating concrete, the foam glass gravel is composed of different grain sizes.
Cement
All common types of cement can be used for the production of our insulating concrete. The cement dosage depends on the required strengths
.
Admixtures
Special superplasticizers and air aerators promote the bonding of the cement glue with the foam glass gravel. In special cases, plastic fibres must also be added to reduce cracking.
Coloured concrete
Insulation concrete can be produced in almost all concrete colours. For this purpose, various colour pigments are added according to previous sampling
