Design:
The automatic poppet valve is an exhaust air device that works with auxiliary electrical energy. Normally, the automatic poppet valve is closed or only slightly open for a basic volume flow. The increased operating volume flow is only extracted when the corresponding switching contact is closed.
Function
After the circuit is closed, the electrothermal actuator heats up and causes the valve disc to open within 2 – 4 minutes (delay in case of short-term stay). The air is extracted through the resulting opening between the valve housing and the valve disc. The valve lift (6 mm) is always the same size, i.e. the valve disc always moves from the selected minimum setting to the maximum valve opening. In the minimum setting, the poppet valve can be closed or open. Because the valve lift is always the same size, the operating volume flow cannot be freely selected, but depends on the minimum setting. As long as the circuit remains closed, the poppet valve is open on the max. valve lift. After the circuit is interrupted, the automatic poppet valve remains open for re-ventilation for approx. 5-8 minutes before slowly and silently returning to the minimum setting.
