illbruck FM230 Window and façade foam+

illbruck - a brand of Tremco CPG Germany GmbH

Description

FM230 is a 1-component polyurethane foam for the filling, insulation and insulation of façade as well as window and door frame connection joints. It is particularly suitable when high elasticity of up to over 30% is required (e.g. for movement joints).

It adheres excellently to a wide range of common construction substrates, e.g. concrete, masonry, stone, plaster, wood, fibre cement, metal and numerous plastics (polystyrene, PUR rigid foam, polyester, rigid PVC).

FM230 is very low-emission (EC1Plus certified) and registered with DGNB.

The

FM230 is part of our i3 waterproofing system and can therefore be combined with many other waterproofing products. For waterproofing with our i3 system, we offer a 10-year functional warranty (see data sheet).

Design (more detailed information can be found in the data sheet)

  • The substrates must be clean and load-bearing.
  • Shake the can vigorously at least 20 times before each use and screw it onto the gun to fit.
  • Process foam sparingly using the strand process.
  • Fill joints and cavities over 30 mm in layers and intermediate moisture.
  • Masking the edges of the joints with a suitable adhesive tape is recommended.
  • When foaming deformable components, e.g. window sills, it must be ensured that the components are anchored sufficiently firmly.
  • Remove foam splashes immediately with AA290 Gun Cleaner or Acetone. Cured foam can only be removed mechanically.
  • Cut
  • off any foam protrusions after hardening.
