illbruck FA870 Natural Stone Silicone

illbruck - a brand of Tremco CPG Germany GmbH

Description

FA870 is a special sealant that has been developed especially for the elastic sealing of construction joints in contact with natural stone. It can be used indoors and outdoors (e.g. for facades, floors, mirror joints or sanitary facilities).

If you are looking for a matt joint look, see FA880 Natural Stone Silicone Matt (https://www.illbruck.de/fa880).

FA870 is also suitable for use in very cold environments. It is permanently resistant to moisture and compatible with paint (according to DIN 52460).

No migration or migration of substances into adjacent joint flanks.

  • The adhesive surfaces must be clean, i.e. dust-free, grease-free, load-bearing and air-dry.
  • Connection joints are to be backfilled to the correct joint depth with closed-cell illbruck PR102 PE round cord. In exceptional cases, differently shaped backfill materials are permitted for joints with a rigid joint base (e.g. elastocell tape or PE release films).
  • If necessary, priming the adhesive surfaces (see data sheet - primer table)
  • Masking the joint edges with a suitable adhesive tape is recommended.
  • Insert FA870 evenly and without air bubbles into the joint and smooth the surface within the skin formation time, if necessary with AT300 smoothing agent.
  • Contamination by smoothing agents must be avoided or washed off immediately with water.
  • Remove used masking tape within the skin formation time.
