Description

Weather protection grilles offer good protection against direct rain penetration and the penetration of leaves and birds into the outdoor and exhaust air openings of ventilation systems.

Combinations of weather protection grilles and louver flaps or check valves have a dual function. In addition to weather protection, they serve to shut off or prevent unwanted air flow against the intended flow direction.

Application

TROX HESCO weather protection grilles are installed in air inlet and air outlet openings on building facades. They prevent the penetration of rainwater and snow.

Finish

Angular frame and slats in raw aluminium with galvanised wire mesh, MW 12 mm. The WSL are available at an additional cost in the following variants: colourless or coloured anodised, galvanised with fly screens.

  • Galvanised fly screen - Lowest slat not protruding
  • Installation and accessories
  • Installation without wall frame in concrete or brick walls as well as in wooden or metal constructions. The wide edge on the WSL largely allows installation without a wall frame.
  • Minimum recess dimensions: = nominal width B + 2 mm

= Nominal height H + 2 mm

  • Included: Countersunk head self-tapping screws with slotted Ø5.5 × 25 mm. (on site: dowel Ø7 mm for concrete or brick wall).

  • Dimensions:
  • WSL with nominal width B > 2000 mm (or 3000 mm) are referred to as weather protection mesh hinges. Nominal widths B are available in 1 mm increments. Preferred nominal heights H see individual grilles on page 4 and table on page 2.
  • For special cases, the nominal dimensions W × H are available in any dimension within the maximum size.
  • WSL belts are delivered in sections (end and middle pieces). Max. section length = 2000 mm
