Technical Information
soft-start and soft-stop technology, which is installed in the heroal OD 75 ceiling door, ensures a gentle start to opening and a gentle closing of the garage door. This means that your roller shutter starts and closes almost silently. This not only ensures quiet acoustics, but also extends the service life of the door. Thanks to the storm hook lock and the combination of rubber and brush inserts, the roller shutter is stable and quiet in the guide rails even under high wind loads.
heroal roller shutters can be equipped with an optoelectronic safety end strip (OSE) for automatic obstacle detection. The optoelectronic safety end strip is a rubber profile below the end strip of the roller shutter in which a light beam is guided. This light beam is only interrupted when it hits an obstacle or when the rubber tread is pressed in. The optoelectronic safety end strip interrupts the closing process of the roller shutter and reverses the door to release trapped objects or people. The optoelectronic safety end strip is available as a wired or wireless version. It meets the minimum protection levels at the main closing edges according to category C.
In addition, photoelectric sensors with the heroal LSC system, which are considered a category D safety device, can be used. The light barriers consist of transmitter and receiver, function contactless and can be installed as a drive-through protection above the floor as well as a pull-in protection below the blind box or below and above the open mounting.
Burglar-resistant and gentle on the curtain – the three-part lift-up protection for the heroal RD 75 roller shutter system with additional textile protects the curtain from abrasion and makes it more difficult to open the curtain manually under pressure. The anti-lift device is also available as a direct shaft attachment. The burglar-resistant effect of the high-rise anti-slip device has been TÜV-tested in accordance with the TTZ guideline and has been awarded the "Tested Burglary Resistance" seal of quality.
GuidePerfect combination – the heroal URF 100 guide rail and the heroal RD 75 rod lock ensure increased stability and thus additional burglary resistance and maximum wind load resistance (class 4 according to EN 13241).
The hollow chamber end strip provides additional stability and optimal guidance of the curtain in the guide rails for wider doors. The hollow chamber end strip is available for the heroal RD 55 and heroal RD 75 roller shutter systems and is recommended from a clear width of more than 3,750 mm. Similarly, a reinforcement profile across all widths is standard for the heroal RG 90 roller grille system.
The
roll-up system of the heroal RD 75 roller shutter can be integrated both for open and closed installation. The flexible positioning of the shaft ensures optimum wrapping behaviour and increases the maximum bale diameter, so that applications up to a clear height of 5,000 mm can be realised. In heroal prefabricated doors, the roll-up system is automatically included from clear heights of more than 4,000 mm and is always integrated in open installations with a geared motor.
Roll-off protection
The ball-bearing safety device catches and holds the curtain securely in the event of an emergency of uncontrolled unwinding in the case of the heroal RD 55 and heroal RD 75 roller shutter systems and the heroal RG 90 roller grille system.
If it is not possible to open or close the door automatically and there is no other exit from the garage, the emergency hand crank allows the door to be opened and closed manually. Various variants, such as external and lockable, ensure application-oriented installation. The emergency hand crank is available for the heroal RD 55 and heroal RD 75 roller shutters as well as for the heroal RG 90 roller grille system.
