More Over

The red Main sandstone is particularly valued for the design of natural stone work due to its characteristic colour and texture, but above all because of its proven, frost-resistant quality. The plain-coloured red emphasises the design of the object or façade. Numerous historical and modern objects bear witness to this. Its good physical and technical properties allow applications both indoors and outdoors. Tested and confirmed weather resistance is also an important criterion here.

The Röttbach quarry has been in mining for several centuries and is now one of the most efficient quarries with plain red, fine-grained sandstone in Germany.

The regional red Main sandstone, Röttbach is a particularly sustainable building material
