KÖSSEINE GRANITE

Bamberger Natursteinwerk Hermann Graser GmbH

Description

Blue to blue-gray coarse-grained biotite-muscovite granite from the Upper Carboniferous Formation in the Fichtel Mountains.

More Over

Kösseine granite is particularly valued for design with natural stone due to its unique blue colour, porphyry structure and proven quality. Numerous historical objects bear witness to this. Its good physical and technical properties set no limits in its application, both indoors and outdoors. The tested and confirmed suitability for frozen de-icing salt is also an important criterion here.

The Pfalzbrunnen quarry on the Kleine Kösseine has been mined for several centuries. The Kösseine granite is the only blue granite that is currently mined in Europe.

The regional Kösseine granite is a particularly sustainable building material.
