Park landscapes on underground car park ceilings

In principle, the green roof structure "roof garden" can also be used on underground car park ceilings. There is also the possibility of impoundment irrigation. However, due to their good accessibility and the usually high static load reserve, it makes sense to use a structure on underground car park ceilings in which the substrate can be applied by means of a wheel loader.

Protectodrain® drainage panels laid over the entire surface with rubber protection mat laminated on the underside protect against mechanical stresses of all kinds during the construction project and later on the roof waterproofing. Covered with the stable TG system filter, they also ensure the safe drainage of excess water. Together with Zincolit® Plus and the various ZinCo system earths, the green roof structure offers numerous possibilities for planting and design.

In addition to Protectodrain®, the fully vulcanized rubber plates Elastodrain® EL 202 with all-round step rebate are also very well suited as a substructure for all kinds of pavements and driving surfaces. Whether car parking spaces or access roads for the fire brigade, lawn grid stones, composite paving or concrete slabs - the possibilities are manifold.

Intensive green roofs – well-kept gardens on used flat roofs

An intensive green roof can be compared to building a garden on a roof. These roofs are usually multifunctional and accessible. Intensive greening requires more weight and a higher system structure. Maintenance must be carried out regularly and depends on the design and the plants chosen. Depending on the thickness of the layer, almost all plants are possible, such as lawns, perennials, shrubs and trees, including other landscaping measures (e.g. ponds, pergolas and terraces).

These diverse forms of use can be implemented permanently and reliably with the ZinCo system structures. In addition, a large number of detailed solutions offer safety in the execution of connections and terminations, transitions and drainage points.

Intensive green roofs offer the entire spectrum of landscape architectural designs. Lawns, perennials, fruit and vegetables, woody plants and trees grow at layer heights of 15–100 cm, often combined with pavements, terraces, play areas or water features. Even driving surfaces, such as on underground car park ceilings, are possible with appropriate statics. Depending on the version, a weight of 150–1300 kg/m² must be taken into account and irrigation and maintenance requirements must be taken into account.
