The flexibility and versatility of the Kalzip Vario LB renovation system allows architects, planners and builders creative design freedom while at the same time redefining roof landscapes in existing buildings in a contemporary way and thus significantly upgrading the appearance of your old stock. The system consists of extruded aluminium profiles, is very light, non-flammable and can be used statically as a fully-fledged roof truss system . Multiple awards – Vario LB in four categories Plus X Award Winners

The Plus X Award is the world's largest innovation prize for technology, sports and lifestyle in the brand sector. If you want to be awarded here, you have to offer a real quality and innovation advantage with your products. In total, the expert jury of the Plus X Award presents awards in seven categories: Innovation, Design, High Quality, Handling, Functionality, Ergonomics and Ecology.

As a pioneer in the field of innovative and creative possibilities for the design of building envelopes, we at Kalzip were among the nominees with our Vario LB roof renovation system. In itself a great honor, but we were able to crown it with an outstanding success. With our new Kalzip renovation system Vario LB, we were able to win the Plus X Award in four categories :

  1. Innovation - The advantages of Vario LB: This system is energy-efficient and economical. It is very light and yet stable, non-flammable and static, a full-fledged roof truss system for saddle, desk, shed or roof renovation.
  2. High Quality – All materials used are made of high-quality, largely recycled aluminium. The substructure of the system, which can be mounted on almost any substrate, is just as durable as the Kalzip roof covering itself.
  3. Handling – Modular elements specially tailored to the needs of the customer significantly reduce assembly time. In addition, Vario LB can be used to achieve any desired roof pitch from 1.5° to 20°

  4. Functionality – Vario LB itself is very light. The usual gravel layer can be removed, which means that reserves of the load-bearing capacity can be used for additional insulation or solar. In addition, there is the high rigidity and stability as well as the fast and economical installation.
