RECKLI VISUALS artico® neo

The façade is the external appearance of an object. It can tell a story and arouse curiosity, make hidden things visible and highlight the purpose of a building. It can inspire or shock, inspire and fascinate.

RECKLI artico® neo adds an essential component to the design freedom for architectural concrete. Photos, images, individual designs and graphics can be reproduced on exposed concrete using this process. The influence of light and shadow does not play a role. That's why RECKLI artico® neo is also ideal for indoor use.

The process is simple: RECKLI artico® neo is a plastic film on which graphics or photos are printed with a high-quality concrete deactivator. The concrete deactivator causes a staggered setting of the concrete so that it can be washed out on the surface after the structural formliner has been deformed. The uppermost cement skin of the concrete is partially removed. The contrast between the washed and smooth surfaces makes the graphics or photos on the façade visible.

The films are intended for single use.

RECKLI Artico® NEO Design

With our artico® neo Design collection, we present motifs that are available as standard. In a maximum film size of 3.15m × 25m (printable area 3.10m x 25m) we deliver these designs as roll goods. The film can be easily cut to the desired size on site. The designs are horizontally and vertically repeatable.

RECKLI artico® neo Individual

Your individual design or photo will be printed on a plastic film (film size 3.15m x 25m) in the max. dimensions of 3.10m × 25m and cut to the desired size. We take care of the preparation of the files and send a visualization on request. Photos are broken down into raster dots, just like in newspaper printing. Their size depends on the image template and the viewing distance and is defined project-specific. For a small surcharge, we can create sample films for you, on the basis of which the precast plant can optimise the concrete recipe. Once produced, designs can be reordered at any time. Due to the special manufacturing process, there are no set-up costs.

Manufacturing process:

• 01: RECKLI prints the design on a special film.
• 02: The artico® neo foil is inserted into the formwork.
• 03: The concrete is poured into the formwork.
• 04: When the concrete has hardened, the concrete element can be stripped. 
• 05: The foil is simply removed from the concrete element and the concrete is washed out with a high-pressure cleaner.
• 06: The interplay of washed and smooth surfaces makes the design visible on the concrete surface.
