VELUX Modular Skylights is a solution that includes prefabricated daylight modules with cover set, flashing frame and vapour barrier connecting strips to create waterproof and airtight skylight structures.
Comfort ventilation is possible via an integrated chain drive, which can be controlled with the VELUX INTEGRA® system or with your preferred building management system. Smoke extraction can only be controlled with your building management system.
For optimal daylight and heat regulation, internal privacy blinds should be used, which can be pre-assembled at the factory or retrofitted.

The profiles of VELUX Modular Skylights (sashes and frames) are made of pultruded glass fibre reinforced plastic (80%) and polyurethane composite material (20%). The composite material ensures excellent thermal insulation properties and high heat resistance, as well as excellent dimensional stiffness and flexural tensile strength of the profiles.
Combined, the properties of the VELUX composite material give the narrow profiles a self-supporting effect and the ability to withstand enormous loads . In addition, the material is maintenance-free, corrosion-free and electrically non-conductive.
The concept of prefabrication allows us to test our products extensively with regard to all conceivable hazards and stressful events. The tests are carried out in controlled environments according to harmonized standards for windows and doors as well as for smoke and heat control systems.
