Liapor loose cavity fill

Liapor Schweiz Vertriebs GmbH

Description

A fill has to do a lot: bring a floor to the required height, provide heat and sound insulation and thus save energy and provide a high level of living comfort. It should also not be a shelter for vermin, e.g. rodents. While insulating mats are complicated to cut and always result in waste, the material requirement for a fill can be calculated exactly in advance and processed effectively. Mineral Liapor fills are vapour-permeable solutions that are flawless in terms of building physics. Easy and quick to implement, a Liapor fill fills voids without gaps down to the last corner. Liapor offers a total of four fills: with a round grain or in the mixture with broken Liapor – both loose and bound.

More Over

Loose and dry

Liapor loose dry fill is particularly suitable for filling cavities in multi-layer floors or wooden beam ceilings. This type of fill ensures sophisticated sound and heat insulation with the lowest static load. Especially in the renovation of old buildings, many problems can be solved with a loose fill, as the material is not only mechanically but also chemically resistant. Acids and alkalis also do not attack the grain.

Light weight, high thermal insulation

In

addition to high thermal insulation, a heat-insulating fill for solid and wooden beam ceilings also requires a large heat storage capacity. The fine-pored, lightweight Liapor expanded clay balls have these properties and also a high compressive strength. Thermal insulation properties determined by thermal conductivity l depend on the bulk density and grain bulk density of the Liapor grade used. A low bulk density and thus light Liapor results in the lower thermal conductivity λ and thus the better thermal insulation. For example, Liapor 8/16 achieves a thermal conductivity of λ = 0.089 W/(m K) and Liaporfit a value of λ = 0.095 W/(m K).

The

unbroken, granular Liapor dry fill can be delivered loose by truck, in silo trucks, in big bags of 1,000 or 2,000 litres or in bags of 50 litres. The loose Liapor dry fill can be processed easily and quickly. The poured Liapor compacts itself and is only removed with a straightening board. Liapor can be used in a variety of ways: as drainage filling in the foundation area or as a thermal insulation fill against the ground. However, the loose fill can also be used as a false soil fill, between joists or for loose vault filling. When overfilling pipelines and other installations with Liapor, the material can be removed just as quickly as it was introduced. With the multiple properties of Liapor expanded clay and a wide range of products, Liapor fills are always the first choice to create a tailor-made solution for the floor.
