Schillinger biood®

The weathering process is not stopped by the biood® treatment, but can continue to progress. In unfavourable conditions, discolouration is possible, especially from grey to brown. The severity of the discoloration depends on the weather exposure and the climate and thus on the respective location. The weathered wood substance can be gnawed off by wasps in places to build their nests. This natural stress on the surface is largely compensated for by itself as the greying progresses. The assembly of the biood® formwork corresponds to that of conventional wooden cladding. After treatment, the individual boards may be slightly textured and deformed. Surface cracks can also occur. All processing steps from the raw wood to the finished patinated formwork board are in the hands of competent experts from Schilliger Holz AG.
