Elaborate climatic tests, in which the weather conditions that occur in practice were simulated, show the exceptional ageing stability of the Baukubit K5K compared to membranes that only meet DIN requirements. Even after 10 years (simulated in a climate chamber), the Baukubit K5K is even more efficient in its cold bending behavior than a newly laid DIN membrane. Especially in extreme cold temperatures, the Baukubit K5K proves its extremely high performance. The cold bending behaviour of the web reaches down to -36 °C. However, temperature differences on a flat roof of often more than 100 °C also require exceptional properties in the heat range. The high thermal stability of the Baukubit K5K of +120 °C ensures problem-free use even on inclined and vertical surfaces. In addition, the track is easier to walk on due to the high thermal stability of the cover material.
