StoneDirekt - Nero Impala

StoneDirekt Natural Stones

Description

The Nero Impala (named after the South African antelope species "Impala") is a natural stone found in South Africa. Granite has been mined here since the 1940s and processed in various ways. It can be assigned to the group of Impala natural stones, which are available in various quality characteristics. The uniform (homogeneous) distribution of minerals within the rock leads to good technical properties when used as a façade cladding material.

More Over

Due to the mineral distribution and pigmentation of feldspars, the Nero Impala occurs in different quality levels and can be classified accordingly. The Nero Impala is characterized by its particularly dark coloration.

Due to its high strength, frost and heat resistance, homogeneous appearance and low expansion (dilation) at temperature differences, it is suitable for both indoor and outdoor spaces, where it is used, for example, as wall and floor tiles or as façade cladding.

Etymologically, the name can be traced back to the antelope species living in South Africa, the impala.

Like the Nero Zimbabwe , the Nero Impala belongs to the rock family of gabbros, a type of volcanic rock that was formed over 2 billion years ago in an environment rich in steam and gas, after the liquid magma under the surface of the earth's crust had slowly cooled.

The black color of the natural stone is determined by various elements contained in the stone: Magnetite, pyrite, chalcopyrite and similar minerals.
