CLINKER TRADITION

In 1897, the first hand-painted bricks were fired at the Iking clinker factory in Stadtlohn-Estern near Gescher. Brick making used to be hard and laborious work. The clay was loaded by hand from the nearby pit onto a horse-drawn cart and further processed in the company. Our clay pits from the past have been recultivated and today offer many plants and animals a valuable habitat. The basic principles of brick making have remained to this day and the knowledge has been passed down through five generations.

CLINKER BRICK MODERNE

The signs at the Iking clinker plant continue to point to the future. Due to many years of experience and innovative production technology, the company has grown from that time to a modern production facility for clinker. Selected natural clay deposits, in accordance with special firing processes, create clinker with liveliness and charisma. Through constant market orientation and discussions with the customer, we meet the diverse requirements with a wide range of shapes and colours. Iking clinker bricks impress with their aesthetic and functional qualities, making structural requirements and individual design wishes possible.
