Express Beton was founded as a consortium in 1987 by the companies Rhomberg Steinbruch and i+R Schertler-Alge and started with the first plant in the Dornbirn quarry. As early as 1991, Plant II was built in Scheibenstraße in Lauterach to meet the demand in the Bregenz area. In 2017, the plant in Lauterach was completely renewed technically. Since 1996, the company has been operating under the name Express Beton GmbH & Co KG.
