Continuous rooflight

Continuous rooflights are usually manufactured according to measurements in gable roof, shed roof or arch form. Nevertheless, this is also referred to as modular components, as the individual components such as opening flaps, supporting structure grids, safety and protective accessories come from a modular overall system. The rooflight systems of the individual manufacturers are often visually and functionally matched to the rooflight dome range. Continuous rooflights can be built in any length and in spans of approx. 100 - 600 cm. Many rooflight dome manufacturers offer continuous rooflights with multi-layer plastic glazing, but there are also real glass continuous rooflights and special glazing for a better insulation value, increased sun or sound protection. Installation is carried out on a sheet steel frame belonging to the system, on a laminated timber beam or a concrete upstand.

A more recent development is a fully modular continuous rooflight system with fixed elements. The manufacturer offers six grid sizes from 67.5 - 120 cm wide and lengths from 120 - 300 cm. The modules have insulating glass, are prefabricated in series and are therefore quick to assemble.
