Reinforced concrete solid wall

In the case of a reinforced concrete solid wall, solid reinforced concrete wall panels are completely prefabricated in the precast plant and delivered to the construction site. Due to the high weight of the elements, the production is often made of structure-tight lightweight concrete, in which lighter aggregates are used with otherwise the same recipe. The wall panels can be arranged floor by floor via brackets between, in front of or behind the supporting structure of a building, or placed directly on top of each other as load-bearing components.

As an exterior wall over the ground, the wall panels are usually supplemented by additional layers, e.g. a rear-ventilated façade or a thermal insulation composite system, but can also be left without additional layers and unplastered in unheated areas. If heavy curtain wall façade panels are planned, the necessary anchor systems should be attached as built-in parts to the formwork before concreting. In perforated façades, recesses for doors and windows are also already taken into account in the formwork. The smooth surface design allows visible surfaces to be produced in exposed concrete quality. Joints are filled on the inside.
