Flat roofs can be built as a warm roof, cold roof or inverted roof. In the table on page 220 | Flat roof insulation indicates for which types of construction the insulation material is suitable. However, the design of a flat roof as a cold roof (= rear-ventilated flat roof) is unusual today, as here, in contrast to the rear-ventilated pitched roof, ventilation is often not sufficiently ensured.
