With a basis weight of approx. 4 kg/m², screed-free floor systems with a heavy-duty heat- and impact-sound-insulating EPS board represent a particularly light alternative to conventional screed. After installation, the load-distributing covering carrier mat is glued to the EPS board with a system adhesive, the total construction height is approx. 3.5 cm. There are also systems that, in conjunction with laminated heat conduction plates, have integrated underfloor heating/cooling. This results in a heating system that reacts very quickly compared to conventional screed underfloor heating.
