Wooden honeycomb and lattice ceiling

Suspended ceiling system consisting of upright and intersecting top layer components made of wood or wood-based materials that form a lattice or honeycomb grid. Visually, they "filter" the view into the ceiling cavity, especially when looking upwards at an angle, but do not close it. This visually reduces the room height, but practically does not reduce the air volume up to the raw ceiling. Honeycomb and lattice ceilings can be designed with top layer elements with the same or different subgrids, the latter allowing a rhythm of the height and the ceiling soffit. As a largely open sub-ceiling, honeycomb and lattice ceilings also offer the possibility of air/smoke extraction via the false ceiling. Sprinkler systems can be placed inconspicuously inside or above the top layer level. In combination with sound-absorbing material, honeycomb and lattice ceilings made of wood or wood-based materials can also be used to improve room acoustics.
