Metal stud walls

Metal stud walls are usually used when rooms need to be divided into smaller units quickly and cost-effectively.

They can be built with or without window and door openings.

More about metal stud walls

The so-called stud work is formed by sheet steel profiles, which are later planked with drywall panels.

Sheet steel profiles are non-flammable, easy to work with and have a low weight.

For metal stud walls, U and C wall profiles are used. U-bracing profiles are also required for the installation of doors.

Notes on planning
Metal

stud walls can be erected with single or double stud work. If an intermediate space is required, e.g. for an installation zone, the double stud structure is made in two planes, which are then connected to each other with double-sided adhesive felt strips or via plate strips.

The requirements for the new partition wall should already be taken into account during the planning phase. Depending on the planking, the metal stud wall can have completely different properties.

The planking made of gypsum or gypsum fibre boards can be made in one, two or three layers. Multi-layer planking usually has a positive effect on sound insulation.
