Installation areas in accordance with DIN 4103-1

In the case of non-load-bearing internal partition walls, it must be statically proven that light consollist walls - such as pictures, bookshelves or small wall cabinets - up to 0.4 kN/m wall length (with a vertical line of action running up to 0.3 m in front of the wall surface) can be attached directly to any point on the wall in a suitable type of fastening. Irrespective of this (i.e. not overlapping with mainly light bracket loads), it must be statically proven that the partition wall is designed to accommodate the following horizontal equal distance load acting 0.9 m* above the base of the wall as a predominantly stationary payload:

*If a height other than 0.9 m is specified by the building authorities, the deviating height is to be assumed for the proof.

For fall-protection walls, the horizontal loads according to DIN EN 1991-1-1/NA, Table 6.12 apply .
