Wood-aluminium windows, highly insulating

Wood-aluminium windows specialising in particularly good thermal insulation properties. The profiles are provided either with an insulating core (usually rigid polyurethane foam), with so-called air scantlings (air slots incorporated into the profile) or with an insulated aluminium shell in order to achieve a maximum insulating effect (see Uf value). This type of window is usually also suitable for use in highly thermally insulated houses such as passive houses. As a wood-metal combination, it combines the haptic, optical and natural quality of a wooden window on the inside with an absolutely weather-resistant metal shell on the outside. Wooden sashes and frames are manufactured in different profile shapes (today usually IV68 to IV92) and, depending on the manufacturer, with different profile shapes. The outer aluminium shell can be powder-coated in a wide variety of colours and paints.
