Anchoring for rear-ventilated façades (VHF)

The anchoring of a rear-ventilated façade (VHF) is made of steel or aluminium. In any case, three-dimensional adjustability is required in order to be able to compensate for unevenness of the substrate, e.g. due to construction tolerances or minor offsets.

The anchoring consists of the following elements:

  • Anchoring elements that attach the AF to the load-bearing wall. There are anchoring elements as sliding points, which can absorb vertical movements of the façade, e.g. as a result of thermal expansion , and as fixed points, on which the respective section of the substructure is suspended.
  • Load-bearing profile of the substructure, usually vertically Fastening

Supporting anchors are used to attach façade panels made of natural stone, concrete, fibre cement or similar to the supporting structure (shell). The load-bearing anchors transfer the dead weight of cladding panels (e.g. made of natural stone or cast stone) into the anchoring ground (shell construction) via shear forces, wind loads via longitudinal forces. The anchors are usually made of stainless steel, a distinction is made between the following variants:

  • Flat anchors, for example, consist of an elongated flat steel, which is spread or corrugated at the end to be set in concrete. Its free end is twisted by 90 degrees and carries an anchor spike.
  • Angle anchors can have two web ends to be concreted in and an angled bridge part that supports two separate pairs of anchor mandrels.
  • Adjustable anchors have a separate web part, which is height-adjustable and connected to a supporting part that can be attached to the outer wall.
  • Anchor with profile web, the free end of which is designed as an angled profile bar without anchor mandrels.
  • Hanging rail systems consist of a half-rail with a number of even holes in the web part. To fasten a plurality of plates on top of and next to each other, two trusses per pair of plates are screwed to the Halfen rail. The trusses are equipped with anchor spikes at their ends.
  • Screw anchors can be, for example, galvanized screws with a hexagonal head.
