Casein Colors

Casein paints have a tradition that goes back thousands of years, but have only recently returned to the market due to the very elaborate processing. The raw material casein is contained as a natural cheese substance in the milk of mammals. In addition to the very good shelf life, the purely natural ingredients and the non-toxic and environmentally friendly production and processing speak for casein dyes. Some manufacturers state that the paint residues can be composted. However, the processing is complex: Depending on the manufacturer, the color powder must be mixed with water or must be prepared in several steps according to the manufacturer's specifications from various dry components, water and low-fat quark, the color must then be consumed within 1-2 days.
