Underfloor heating

Underfloor heating is a heating device with heating pipes, surface elements or other hollow profiles laid in the floor. The location of the heating elements within the floor structure can vary. The following types of construction are differentiated according to the location of the pipes:

• embedded in the screed (type A)
• below the screed or in the insulation layer (type B)
• in the levelling screed (type C)

Floor constructions with underfloor heating are manufactured on site, these are surface heating systems. The floor temperature influences the comfort of people in the room, so underfloor heating can contribute enormously to well-being in addition to a sufficiently dimensioned insulation layer in the floor.
