Laminated beams are made from two (duo beams®) or three (trio beams®) technically pre-dried solid wood planks with the same cross-section, which are glued together on the flat side and parallel to the fibres. This achieves better dimensional accuracy, as the beams have little chance of twisting due to the gluing and the formation of cracks is reduced. Laminated beam timber is particularly used in the visible area.
