Solid construction timber (KVH)

Solid construction timber (KVH) is a high-quality construction timber that has been refined in terms of wood moisture, dimensional accuracy and appearance, with fewer knotholes, cracks and discolouration. It is made of softwood and is finger-jointed in length, which allows any length to be produced. Solid construction timber is technically dried and then planed to size. As a result, it has less wood moisture and more accurate dimensional accuracy. A distinction is made between KVH-Si, for the visible area, and KVH-NSi, for the non-visible area, whereby "defects" such as knotholes, cracks and discolorations are sorted out even more precisely in the KVH-Si than in the KVH-NSi. Solid structural timber is also sorted visually and according to strength in accordance with DIN 4074.
