Safety Extra Low Voltage is a very low voltage at which the live parts do not necessarily have to be protected against direct contact (DIN EN 61140; VDE 0140-1). Touching this voltage is considered safe for adults and children as well as for animals. Common voltages are 12 V or 24 V.
