Burglary protection in accordance with DIN EN 1627 for drywall walls

The classification and evaluation of the burglary resistance of door elements, windows, curtain walls, lattice elements and closures is regulated in DIN EN 1627, which distinguishes between seven different RC classes (RC for resistance-class).

For drywall, there are systems for burglary resistance classes RC2 N to RC3 (or for the burglary resistance classes WK2 and WK3 valid until 2011 in accordance with DIN V ENV 1627). The classifications are achieved by two- or three-layer planked systems with plates of increased surface hardness, in conjunction with sheet steel inserts in between.
