Quick-weldable vapour barrier membranes are bitumen-based vapour barrier systems with a metal insert, usually made of aluminium, which ensures vapour tightness. In addition, underside strips with heat-activated self-adhesive bitumen are attached, which are welded to the substrate by short flame burning. This creates a predefined and standard-compliant adhesive surface that ensures vapour pressure equalisation in the intermediate areas as well as very rapid processing with little flame. Due to the low use of burners and flames, these membranes can also be used on heat-sensitive surfaces.
