In the case of screeds on separation layers in accordance with DIN 18560-4 and screeds/heated screeds on insulation layers in accordance with DIN 18560-2, the screed is peeled vertically in the case of screed joints that are only necessary due to work interruptions. The insertion of dowel sleeves and the doweling with the directly applied screed when the work continues prevents height differences in the screed surface during drying. In accordance with DIN 18560, construction joints are to be treated like false joints. They are closed in a force-fit manner after the screed has hardened and before subsequent flooring work, e.g. by pouring with synthetic resin, and do not have to be adopted into subsequent floor coverings.
