Raised floors with a metallic base course meet particularly high requirements in terms of their conductivity, load-bearing capacity and fracture resistance. Typically, they are therefore used, for example, in production areas, clean rooms and data centers. Special perforated raised floor elements also allow the raised floor cavity to be used for ventilation purposes, e.g. for a particularly low-turbulence vertical displacement flow with a floor air extraction system in a clean room or as a source air floor for room heating or air conditioning. They are used as spring air flooring, for example, in public buildings or open-plan offices, sometimes even in residential areas, in each case in combination with a floor covering suitable for spring air, e.g. with suitably suitable (air-permeable) carpets, but also with perforated parquet floors or resilient floor coverings.
