A flat roof light opening always consists of an attachment, such as a skylight dome or a glass pyramid, and a collar. Modular systems allow different upstands to be combined with the desired attachment.
Upstands are made of PVC, GRP (glass fibre reinforced plastic), sheet steel or aluminium as standard and are available in heights of 15, 30, 40 and 50 cm. In order to ensure a tight integration of the upstand into the flat roof waterproofing, there are various connection options: upstands with factory-attached foil or bitumen connection, with recessed rigid PVC connection rails or upstands made of PVC, to which suitable plastic waterproofing membranes can be welded directly. Sheet steel and aluminium upstands can be covered with integrated insulation. The foot flange is also available in an insulated version or with a profile matching the specified roof profile.
