The load classes for system floors are regulated in DIN EN 12825 (for raised floors) and DIN EN 13213 (for hollow floors). The assignment of a product to one of the classes is based on the breaking load that the element to be tested carried before failure.
The maximum permissible payload during use is obtained by dividing the breaking load by a safety factor. This is 2.0 or 3.0, depending on the respective system floor and its application. The required breaking load or payload is determined by the planner.
