Silicone resin plaster is a synthetic resin plaster that becomes more permeable to water vapor by adding silicone resin. Silicone resin emulsified in water is the binder that acquires a quartz-like structure when hardened, and the starting material is silicon. A silicone resin plaster is extremely dirt- and water-repellent and driving rain-resistant, but at the same time significantly more permeable to water vapour than conventional synthetic resin plasters. In this way, silicone resin plaster combines the advantages of purely mineral systems with those of synthetic resin-bonded systems.
