A load-bearing parapet insulation element thermally separates the room closure and parapet and at the same time takes on load-bearing functions. This avoids thermal bridges. It transmits compressive forces, shear forces and bending moments.

This construction method allows for wide terraces, narrow parapets and designs in exposed concrete. Since railings above the room closure are not mounted on the thermal insulation layer, but directly on the concrete, thermal separation also simplifies sealing.
The element can be installed selectively, and the insulation layer is continued in between.
