Most types of natural stone are suitable as floor coverings for indoor use.
Restrictions apply to strongly brecciated rock types, rock types that are increasingly traversed by clay veins (stylolites) and rocks with low grain binding and/or too soft mineral content. These restrictions must be observed in particular for constructions on separating layers, on insulation layers and on underfloor heating
