Geotextile robustness class GRK

Separate, filter or protect nonwovens in buildings in various applications. Since mechanical properties such as "robustness" are of decisive importance here, nonwovens are divided into so-called geotextile robustness classes GRK.

Products must be sufficiently robust for the specific application. Robustness is defined here as the resistance to stress caused by bulk material (gravel, etc.), loads during construction operations and by use.

For the separating, filtering and protecting functions, the robustness is characterized by the geotextile robustness classes (GRK), which are technically categorized according to the two values "punch push-through force" and "mass per unit area". RTG 1 and GRK 2 are not suitable for earthworks in road construction, for example.
