High-hole and light-perforated bricks are perforated bricks perforated perpendicular to the storage surface, whose thermal insulation properties increase enormously due to the filled or unfilled hole content.
The total hole cross-section of bricks is regulated in DIN 105, Part 1 and Part 2 and amounts to between 15 % and 50 % of the storage area. In the case of perforated bricks according to DIN 105, Part 3, the hole cross-section is limited to 15 % to a maximum of 35 % of the storage area. Perforated bricks according to Part 1 and Part 3 have a bulk density of more than 1.0 kg/dm3, light perforated bricksl according to Part 2 must have a gross density of less than 1.0 kg/dm3. These bricks in particular are characterized by increased thermal insulation properties and are therefore particularly suitable for the production of building exterior walls.
