The room-enclosing ceiling panels of suspended ceilings are screwed onto a metal or wooden construction, which consists of two profiles running orthogonally to each other. In order to attach this "gridded" construction to the load-bearing floor ceiling, certain brackets are required, which usually differ due to the distance between the floor ceiling and the finished sub-ceiling as well as the required stability.
The substructure, which is based on metal systems, uses two main systems:
A. Direct hangers
Directhangers create a direct connection between the base course and the profile plane and are suitable for short distances. The attachment is made to the upper support profile.

B. Vernier hanger
In order to bridge larger distances between the shell ceiling and the finished lower ceiling, so-called hanger or vernier hanger systems are used, which consist of an upper part and a lower part. This division into two elements allows individual fastening and height adjustment of larger gaps.
