Hard material infill in accordance with DIN 18560-3 and -4 is one way of applying surface treatment to the concrete floor. This surface coating serves to increase wear resistance and surface hardness, but is not comparable to a hard material layer in accordance with DIN 18560-7.
The bedding process is carried out dry on fresh screed or concrete surfaces by hand, with a bedding trolley or with a spreader.
The discussion on the topic of hard material layer or hard material infill has intensified in recent years, both in Germany and abroad. The planned use of the industrial floor, i.e. its future use and load, is of decisive importance.
